ModMoss started with a simple idea: bring a little more nature indoors.
Not another houseplant that needs the perfect window, a strict watering schedule, or a green thumb. Something smaller. Simpler. And a little more interesting.
So we created ModMoss.
Each ModMoss is a tiny living world built with real moss and natural elements inside a glass vessel. No two grow exactly alike, and that's part of what makes them special.
Over time, your ModMoss becomes its own miniature landscape — something alive that you can keep right on your desk, shelf, nightstand, or wherever you could use a little green.
(Marimo "moss balls" are freshwater algae, rather than botanical moss.)

The moss is real. The little imperfections are real. And every ModMoss is naturally a little different from the next.
We think that's better.
Nature isn't supposed to look like it came off an assembly line, so we don't try to make it that way. We carefully put each ModMoss together to create a tiny ecosystem with its own character.
